About Me

2 Jan 2010 by thehungryteacher, 5 Comments »

I’m Amy, aka The Hungry Teacher.  I love to cook, eat and read cookbooks.  I have loved to cook as long as I can remember.  I inherited my love of cooking from my dear Grandma T., who passed away last March.  She was a wonderful cook with a great knowledge of food and ingredients.  My mom is also a great cook!   Currently I have over 75 cookbooks and I am always looking to add to my collection.  I am an elementary school teacher, currently teaching grades 3 and 4.   I really enjoy the children I teach each day. My wonderful husband and I have been married for 2-1/2 years.  He willingly tries and critiques all of the food I make.  Also, he is a great sous chef and he helps me keep the kitchen clean (I tend to make a mess…).

Amy I’m browsing through your website again and I think I’ve just made a decision to make a couple of your recipes every week. From there I might make my menu by what you present on your site. The most difficult thing about making dinner for me is the initial decision about WHAT SHOULD I COOK today. Once I know everything falls into place.
I’m also wondering if you might be available sometime to cook a special dinner for my Bed and Breakfast guests?

  4. Hi Amy! Love your food blog! It looks amazing! xxox
